GERMAN BOOK GROUP
Discussion in English/German of books
written in German Group Coordinator: Vivienne Gray (click to contact) |
When Mondays: 10.00am, approximately every six weeks |
Where Private house in the Highbury area. |
The Members will read mainly, but not
exclusively, modern German literature, then meet to discuss
it. Members can speak in either English or German, in
whichever language they feel more comfortable.
Our first choice of book is "Die
Verlorene Ehre der Katharine Blum" by Heinrich Boell.
Further suggestions for future reading are "Der Vorleser" by
Bernhard Schlink or "Jeder stirbt für sich allein" by Hans
Fallada.
