This group has recently reformed its remit. Now this group explores developments in British and Irish literature from the end of the Great War to c.1970, drawing on a rich range of talent from Virginia Woolf and Evelyn Waugh, through Agatha Christie and P.G. Wodehouse, to Barbara Pym, Graham Greene, George Orwell — and many more. We have begun by concentrating on the Twenties, but will investigate further afield as members decide.
Members will choose the works to be considered interesting, either as reads or re-reads.
