We are an informal and friendly group from a variety of backgrounds and work experience. We enjoy our reading and discussion and also the occasional celebration, for a birthday or anniversary, including an annual lunch to brighten up January.

Group members select the books we read and we alternate fiction with non-fiction. This rotation has given us greater scope and widened our approach to reading. Each member in turn brings two or three books they suggest as being of interest and the group considers them and makes a final choice. We have also drawn on the wider interests of members who have shared some of their travels and voluntary work experience.
