Membership
Membership of Islington U3A is open to people who are retired or semi-retired and who live in Islington or its surrounding areas. We have a wide range of events and activities, catering for many different interests.  For more details see our Home page.

As a member you can sign up to join interest groups, and attend monthly meetings and special events. Once the membership fee has been paid most activities are free and the only additional payments are for extras such as tickets for visits, tickets for the theatre or cinema, and some iU3A social events. Membership is £30 per full year. As we operate a fixed year from October, the fee drops during the year. Please refer to the membership form for the current applicable fee.

Islington U3A offers a membership reduction to those on benefits. For further information please contact iu3amembers@outlook.com

You can join directly online. The link to enable new members to join directly is here. This is our preferred method. If you don't want to join and pay online you can pay by bank transfer. Print and complete the application form, scan it and email it as an attachment to our Membership Secretary at iu3amembers@outlook.com. You will then be issued our bank's details to allow you to make the transfer.

The third method (not preferred) is by sending in a cheque. If you are only able to pay by cheque, print and complete the membership form, then post it with your cheque to our Membership Secretary to the address shown on the application form.

The fourth (and least preferred) method, if you are not able to make payment by any of the above methods: you will be able to join at one of our Monthly Meetings.

Islington U3A is also a member of the wider U3A organisation, the Third Age Trust, whose events you will also be eligible to attend, as well as those of the London Region of U3A, a network of U3As in the area which provides support to each other but also organises regional events. We'll keep you up-to-date through this website and by sending you our Bulletin twice a month.

Helping Hand
Islington U3A relies on its volunteers. If you would like to contribute to the running of the organisation in any way, see further details on the About page.
