When

First Tuesday of each month.
Where

At the Old Fire Station.

Initially this group will have nine meetings spread over the year (2018/19). The hall is booked between 19.00 and 21.00 on the first Tuesday of the month, so sessions will be on 2 October, 6 November and 4 December 2018. Then in 2019 the first Tuesdays fall on 5 February, 5 March and 2 April. Easter Sunday will be 21 April. We can continue on 7 May, 4 June and 2 July but I have not actually booked TOFS that far ahead as there is a Bank Holiday on Monday 6 May and that may affect how many people attend on the following day. I hope we can discuss that nearer the time.

I will research and send out some details of a couple of the dances we can walk through and then hopefully dance on 2 October. I am aware that we have a majority of people who either have not danced for a long time or are novices. We will make sure it is enjoyable for everyone.

If you are interested in joining this group, please email me using the link at the top of the page.

We met for the first time on Tuesday 2 October. Fourteen adventurous souls attended. After a slightly chaotic start and a temperamental CD player we walked through and then danced the Eightsome Reel, a fun challenge for the brain as few of us were experienced dancers; but we mastered it, which was rewarding. After a short break for Elderflower cordial and Herefordshire apples we threw ourselves into The Gay Gordons until we felt giddy (a shorter CD next time!)  And even that was not enough. We went on to attack Hamilton House. Thanks to Jo-Ann and Derek for calling and helping to keep time — which is difficult when starting to learn the reels.
